Save The Perishing is a small group of dedicated Christians in Kansas City committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. We hit the streets in the Kansas City area to spread the good news of salvation. Without Christ a person has no hope of salvation or Heaven. Why? Christ is the only one who satisfied the wrath of a Perfect, Holy, Loving God by dying on a cross for the sins YOU have done!

FAQ

Q: Are you Arminians?
I’m not a Calvinist or Arminian.  I do not believe in the “isms” of men since they always contradict and don’t rightly divide the Word of Truth, making those people who teach it unapproved of God (2 Timothy 2:15).

Q: Why do you have Facebook friends with unbelievers and who some might consider heretics?
My Facebook account exists for the purpose of witnessing to people on Facebook.  How could I do that if all my Facebook friends are believers?

While it is true the concept of Facebook is to connect with “friends” most of them are not really “friends” in the sense I talk with them daily, or have spiritual fellowship with them in real life.  Some are true believers, some not.  I am merely using Facebook as a platform to spread the gospel to all.  I do not defriend anyone since the gospel is for everyone.  Many diverse people are on my Facebook friends list and I do not share spiritual statuses from anyone that contain information which would exalt itself against the knowledge of God.

I have hundreds of contacts on my friends list.  Assuming I agree with all the beliefs of everyone on my Facebook friends list because they are on the list is just that…ASSUMPTION.  I don’t personally fellowship with people on Facebook and Facebook isn’t a church setting.

Some may reasonably ask “wouldn’t they influence your true Christian friends/family with false doctrines?”  On the contrary, if you can be led away from Christ than you weren’t His to begin with, and if you were never His then you weren’t saved and haven’t lost salvation.

Christians are supposed to spread the seed of the gospel and I find Facebook a good platform for doing this.  I also find youtube to be of help in this regard too, and some subscribers to my youtube channel may not be Christians so should I reject them or instruct them the ways of salvation?

I find the majority of complaints about me having non-Christian friends on Facebook are from Calvinists, who gladly defriend others on Facebook who disagree with them, surrounding themselves with people who only tell them what they want to hear.  Not all of them do this but many do.  If all I did was surround myself with believers on Facebook who would I witness to on Facebook?  This attitude reminds me of the Pharisees who accused Jesus of hanging out with sinners!

Q: Do you believe you can lose your salvation?

No, I do not.  I believe Jesus saves completely and forever.  I do not believe a person can jump out of Christ’s hand since Christ said He will not lose any the Father gives Him.  A true believer who has been born again cannot be unborn, but they can face the chastisement of the Lord on their lives for their sin, miss out on blessings they could have had in this life and rewards in the next life.

“Once Saved Always Saved” means Christ will never let you go, that salvation is a one-time event where a new believer passes from death to life and is born into God’s family.  After this happens there is SERVICE to the Lord.  One is SALVATION which is the bible says isn’t EARNED, the other is for SERVICE which is EARNED for rewards.  They are two separate issues because the bible keeps them separate. You should never mix the two together.

What a Christian SHOULD do is grow in the Lord by reading and obeying the Word of God.  If this is done a Christian will grow in holiness, if not, their faith will be incomplete and not mature.  Its not the will of God that believers should be be immature, but unfortunately many are by choice.

Q: Do you believe Baptism is required for salvation or Baptism saves?
No I do not believe Baptism serves that purpose.  It is important but not for the purpose of saving a soul from hell.

Q: What is your testimony?
You can read about it here.

Q: Are you representing a local church when witnessing?
No, I do not represent a physical local church when witnessing mainly because we go all over Missouri to different cities.  If I am witnessing 100 miles away from the church I attend I cannot tell a person to go to my church since its impractical.  I’m confident God will guide them to a local church in their area.

Q: What about discipleship?
I will help anyone we meet through email or other correspondence to teach them all things commanded of them by Christ or suggest a local church near them that could help.

Q: Do you attend a church?
Yes, I attend a local church in my area.

Q: This blog site has many articles on the occult, shouldn’t a Christian be more concerned mostly with what Christ is doing rather than what the enemy is doing?
I came from Catholicism and from the occult so I try to specialize in what I know to help others.

There is a popular myth that in order to know a counterfeit $100 dollar bill you must be familiar with the real one so much that when a fake shows up you can spot it.  This is not actually what they do to find a counterfeit.  They study both the original and the counterfeit.

Some people who call themselves Christians are duped because they don’t realize the worship methods they are doing is what the pagan nations did and God doesn’t approve of that.

God does not accept all forms of worship even if the worshiper is sincere.  He wants us to worship Him as HE WANTS IT, not as WE WANT IT.

What We Believe

WE BELIEVE that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.

WE BELIEVE that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testaments are the Work of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.

WE BELIEVE in GOD THE FATHER, an Infinite, personal, Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He Saves from sin and death all who come to Him in faith through Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, Ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.

WE BELIEVE in the HOLY SPIRIT, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the gifts of the Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that all PEOPLE are sinners by nature and choice and, therefore, are under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit, those who believe the gospel, that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service.

WE BELIEVE in the universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.

WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ORDINANCES to the Church: 1) baptism, and 2) the Lord’s Supper. We believe in baptism by immersion and communion open to all believers.

WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible RETURN OF CHRIST to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked.

WE BELIEVE in what is termed the Apostles Creed as embodying fundamental facts of Christian faith.
